Midwest Blog Aggregator

Luke Francl over at http://centralstandardtech.com has started a pretty sweet Midwest blog aggregator. You will notice family favorites like Alttext.com (Ben Edwards), Scratch Mount (McClain Looney), Unpossible (Dan Grigsby), Garrickvanburen.com (Garrick Van Buren) and your very own Refactr (The Refactr Crew).

Luke, hats off to you for finally getting a local aggregator implemented. It has definitely been needed for a very long time.

Thanks for the plug, Casey. Stay tuned, I’m working on some more stuff for the site beyond aggregator and calendar. My goal is to turn it into a major resource for the Twin Cities tech scene.

An interesting idea, Luke, would be to append this to the MinneBar “brand” and have sort of a holistic approach to building the Twin Cities web community within that.

I think that we could have http://www.minnbar.com be the main yearly event and info site, demo.minnebar.com ben info for the periodic demos we put on, and then something like blogs.minnebar.com to promote and aggregate such blogs as you have with CST. Of course we would still have a good presence on the barcamp.org site, but still have our “own home” and domain.
