Our Community
Refactr fosters and supports community. We've spearheaded several initiatives aimed at building Minnesota's technologists, designers, and entrepreneurs.
Events:
Minnesota's barcamp event, MinneBar, is one of the largest events of its kind in the world. It is highly regarded for its open and participatory setting and influential local presence. Quarterly MinneDemo events Many initiatives and start-ups in the Midwest have sprung from its sessions and talks. Organized by one of Refactr's own, Ben Edwards, we are very proud to be supporters of the minnestar event series.
User Groups
We founded the Groovy Users of Minnesota group in 2007 to share experiences, techniques, and knowledge with the goal of strengthening the rapid software development crowd in Minnesota. "GUM" meetings are every second Tuesday of the month at our Minneapolis office. We also host the Ruby Users of Minnesota on the last Monday of each month, the JavaScriptMN Meetup the last Thursday of the month, Clojure.mn on the first Wednesday of the month.
