Q: What's the best part of being a developer?
A: Creating something that makes people's lives easier or better in some way.
Q: Why did you choose to work at Refactr?
A: I get to create interesting things with a group of like-minded people, using tools and methods I find productive and effective.
Q: What's been your proudest professional achievement?
A: Creating apps on platforms I've only recently become familiar with.
Q: What turns you on creatively?
A: Collaboration with others on challenging problems. Also, challenging/complex music.
Q: If the whole world were listening, what would you say?
A: Relax...and keep listening.
Q: What is your earliest computer or internet memory?
A: Dialing into Sendit (a free educational dialup internet provider) on a 9600 baud modem to look at sites with gopher, and making QBasic programs on a 486 Tandy. Also, a very noisy Okidata printer...
Q: If you could be a superhero, what would your name and superpowers be?
A: I would be "Reason Man", and would resolve irrational disputes with calm, rational advice, which would of course always be obeyed. I think I'm describing The Force.
